Hello Everyone,
I am Mallika, lovingly my family and friends call me Molly. This is my blog – and I would like to call it “Molly’s Blog” … giving that informal touch. I am a doting mother of two during the day and creative owl by night 😊…! I am very passionate about writing, reading, cooking, art, music, interior decorations and gardening. I have immense love for dogs, an animal lover in general. I feel one with nature and love visiting a scenic place once a year with family. I like interacting with people and observe different characters and behaviors – this intrigues me – how each person thinks differently like a new chapter in a book but everyone is interconnected somewhere, it’s a revelation to understand human mind. I am a deep thinker but at the same time love getting caught in the rains…dancing bare foot in the first shower and smell the fresh wet mud …that’s the kid in me that keeps jumping out most of the times from within my core!!
I feel kindness, empathy, cheerfulness, compassion, humility, faith and love takes you a long way and I am full of this always. Spirituality keeps me in high spirits and motivates me to keep going on the right track. Well “right track” meaning always get the best out of myself, always being enthusiastic like the river flow-never ever stop or give up! Life is not black or white/ right or wrong…life is different shades of color in different landscapes, its god’s gift to us and he wants us to gain every experience – so that we carry the best painting to him when we go…!!
I believe that the quality of our thoughts pave the way for happiness in general in life. What goes around comes around. Karma is god. I like to think out of the box and with kids around you must be innovative…children are the best gifts. They can make you an epitome of patience, tolerance and seamless love! You become a scientist for them inventing new techniques from feeding to playing.” Eureka” is like the in thing …and you got to be happening to be the best Mom 😉!!
Education, knowledge and experience are your best friends. I believe in this. Its adds depth, makes you open to new things, widens your sensibilities, makes you matured, the spectrum of thoughts are not limited or inhibited. “Wisdom is big hearted” – that’s my thumb rule in life! Love for love sake not to fulfil your needs…!! This is my perspective – to each his own!! Live and let live 😊 my motto!
Well, written quite a bit about myself. My endeavor is to have this platform for free exchange of ideas and expression. This is the first time I am doing something of my own… my passion, my hobby! “My own” meaning something that connects to my soul, my inner self/zone – my nude soul (I like to call it that way), where my self-worth is what I decide no pretentions, no lie but acceptance of the complete truth of who I am. Being a postgraduate, qualified enough to work in the best companies, have few years of experience. I realize money cannot buy happiness however it helps put a smile on the face of our loved ones and gives financial independence. One has to figure out how to balance life to discover the right time to delve into inner peace and calmness and the self-discovery path. It does not happen in one day and no way it means to shed your responsibilities towards your family. Astrology is also a deep/ divine science I am studying and its interesting how the whole universe is connected to us in more than one way and affects our personal lives. Real growth and enrichment happens when you start discovering who you are and search your purpose in life. Self-discovery is an amazing journey. We need to be bold or courageous enough to change ourselves – our inner source should first feed us with joy and only then can we spread happiness around. So, I first need to be my own source of light and then my inner beauty will reflect out to everyone. I think I have started this journey…! and that’s how I am here with my Blog. I want to take this opportunity to thank few very close and important people in my life – my mother for providing me with the best of everything in life. I am what I am today only because of her faith in me. She is the one always pushing me to expand my boundaries and horizons, even when I wrote articles/ poems in my school/ college magazines, Literature clubs…”MA” you have always inspired me to pursue writing seriously. Meg my little sister – you have been my best support throughout. My grandmother for giving me a very solid foundation of values and principles in my childhood years – I miss you a lot!! A big thank you to my sweetheart who believed in me and motivated me in every step of my life till now. Another big thank you to my close family and my mentor. Thank you to all my close friends who have stuck around with me for all these years.
